Weekend update

Monday, February 3, 2014
This weekend covered my birthday, the Super Bowl and some visits.  Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for my texts, cards, gifts, Facebook shout outs, etc.  It really helps make a day special - aside from the whole groundhog thing, which is super exciting. (sarcasm)

We had a visit with Rich's parents and the kids and I got to see his grandmother and Aunt up from Florida.  The kids were smitten with their new "baby" - a Pomeranian named Ellie.  It was so nice to see them.  Since my sister and baby Olivia couldn't come down Friday for a birthday TGIF due to potential weather, they visited Super Bowl Sunday.

Like, totally checking out a tween's loft bed and digging it.

Using Maggie-dog for stability for this new standing gig.
The annual Super Bowl party at the Eggers' followed where Rich and I had a clean sweep for our football pool!  So...can't wait to do it again next year!

And now, a confession.
Dear Kids,
When you are told to get off your devices and then come tell me in great detail everything you just built / destroyed in Minecraft, I'm not really listening.  Sorry.  I don't get it.  I try to pay attention and picture what you may be rambling on about, but really I'm probably thinking about what task I need to do next or what else we're going to have with dinner.  There.  I said it.
Love, Mom

Also, someone should probably tell Cole that "anywho" isn't really a word in the English dictionary.  As in, "I can't find my gloves.  Anywho, I don't need them today."
