A First
This weekend I had a super fun reunion with college roommates for the Illinois 10K in Champaign-Urbana. The race was energizing with 18,000 participants (there was a marathon, too) and driving around to see the changes on campus - and taking our picture in front of the residence hall where we all met - was priceless! Great time! I returned to a post-race gift of scented bath salts/candle and card from my kids and husband. You'd think I had won the Boston marathon instead of trudged through 10 kilometers, but I'll take it!
An Always-Fun Repeat
Then Sunday was the annual Spring at the Farm event at a local farm that my parents volunteer for supported by the conservation society. The kids always look forward to this chance for hayrides, animals, hot dogs, machinery and freedom to roam:
