Well, this evening I had a more profound blog post in mind, but that can wait, as I had a special request to post the lyrics to a song I made up and have sung to my kids while in the bathtub for years now. I have to add the disclaimer that I'm not too terribly proud of this.
I am an avid fan of the TV sitcom Friends. If you are familiar, you may recognize this somewhat quirky song by Phoebe: (I'm having a YouTube problem - it will link you to YouTube.com)
Yeah, it's that pretty melody with these words:
Smelly pits, smelly pits,
Why won't she wash you?
Smelly pits, smelly pits,
It's not your fault!
I know - it's contagious! You'll be singing it all day. You're welcome!

Yea!!! Thanks so much :)
I realize now, though, that I have deviated from your version. We always sing "stinky pits, stinky pits, why won't he clean you?"
And why the disclaimer? You should totally be proud of this.
So funny...love your version! And on the topic of Phoebe songs...did you not love the episode when she sang Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" and thought he was singing "hold me closer Tony Danza". Oooh how I miss that show. Thanks for the laugh. :)
Love it!!! Of course I remember that song! I have another favorite from that show - I'll sing it to you over the phone!!
This made me laugh SO hard!! Thanks, Kare! I loved the song she sang to the kids about dying and hamburgers (or something). The show where Chris Isaak guest-starred.
