Dear Santa

Sunday, December 14, 2008
Though you probably like to give things from the toy department, I have a few nontraditional gift requests this year:
FOR WILL: A scotch tape dispenser with a lifetime supply of scotch tape. The uses for scotch tape are apparently endless for a 3 year-old as he goes through more than most small countries.
FOR PAIGE: A personal shopper because it took 2 returns and 1/2 dozen try-ons to find school-worthy boots that are both stylish enough and comfy enough for her pristine feet.
FOR COLE: An automatic drool wiper. Do they make these? The dogs are good for scraps and even spit-up, but they aren't so interested in the drool. This would be much appreciated.
Merry Christmas,
Their mom

When my sister was a kid, she built an entire Barbie palace out of scotch tape, kleenex and shoe boxes. It was quite splendid. Don't even get me started on boots!! Kelly has sworn she was an adult size 8 since she was 9 years old. If you find one of those auto drool-wipers, let me know - Lauren generates enough for three babies, and her poor little cheeks are all chapped from it.

Scotch tape duly noted for Will. Couldn't work better with my gift to him. Thanks for the tip!! As for the boots, that only gets better with age. Soon it will be any and all clothes, book bags, etc. she'll be wanting to weigh in on. And as for the drool, ditto what Laurie said. Lauren is a drool machine!!!!!!!! She soaks everything she (and we) wear!!!!!
