BREAK!

Sunday, June 3, 2012
After a silly 1/2 day of school Monday, I will officially have a 2nd and 4th grader!  They have had great years and I'm so looking forward to summer with them!  And I'm sure their little brother is looking forward to more playmate options than Mom.

We have our lists ready (because life does not go as smoothly without lists).  This includes our fun "to-do" list, our book reading lists, our chore lists and our class schedule lists.  Here is what the kids will be doing class-wise:

PAIGE: Swim, volleyball camp, gymnastics
WILL: Baseball, swim
COLE: Swim

I feel like I've prepared enough such that we aren't bored, yet have enough free time that we can re-learn how to use our imagination for fun and just plain relax!

Shhh!  We're going to kick off summer with another operation bedtime psych and head out for ice cream after we've put the kids to bed Monday night.  Then, while out for ice cream, we're going to tell them that their dad's taking off work the following day and we're all going to the zoo!  (Let's hope weather cooperates).  It will be a perfect start!

Today's funny:
Cole has a habit of preceding every comment and question to me with, "just asking..."  Tonight when he said that Will replied, "If I had a nickel for everytime he said that!"

This will be my vantage point a large portion of the summer.

Special mention for the not-so-spring-chicken who managed to jump 30+inches into the kids' pool to cool off this past very hot Memorial Day weekend.  We think she even surprised herself, but there's no doubt she enjoyed it!
