Today was an exciting day! The kids and I went to the mall, since it will be a while that we'll get that opportunity again and I was looking for a couple things. In the process, I was on the phone with our realtor and Rich and we actually came to a great agreement on the house we chose and set the date to close in about 2 months!
After the initial excitement came the flurry of to-do lists that I will have in the next 2 months and more. The address changes, bus route changes, moving company, utilities change, etc. I'm ready for it, though, as long as there is some cooperation from the kids. Luckily, they are all just about old enough to see the "adventure" in it and be on board for that reason alone.
However, my friend Nicole gave me the great idea to write up a contract for the KIDS to sign agreeing to help keep the house neat and clean up before showings in exchange for a $20 gift card to the place of their choice once we move / sell this house. Paige chose Justice and Will chose Big R (similar to Farm and Fleet). They were both VERY helpful for the rest of the day! :) Thanks Nicole!
So, I'm happy to be able to document the peaks and valleys of this move on this blog, as I only have brief recollections of our last one. And I apologize now as there probably where be some less-than-rosy days. :)
Well, it's off to pack a snack in Paige's back pack! It's a school night!

ahem. please look at my blog from jan-apr of this past year for some "not so rosy" moments. but they're kinda funny now already.
