QUOTE FROM WILL:
Will: Mom, what are you doing?
Me: Cooking dinner
Will: Don't catch it on fire this time.
Me: Great, Will. Thanks.

In other news, today is our weekly "clean Fluffy's cage day." Paige and I have a system that works quite well. Only today the boys were helping. We put Fluffy in his ball and clean out bedding in the workshop of the basement. While my eye was on all small hands putting new bedding in the cage, I glanced 2 feet away and noticed Fluffy...sitting comfortably JUST OUTSIDE HIS BALL!? I lunged at him as he started to make his way under the workbench and grabbed him (rather firmly) as he drew blood from my finger and I replaced him in his ball. Whew. Paige, on the other hand, was busy freaking out as if she just watched him be swallowed whole by a snake. I understood her panic and reminded her that is why I do this with her, but also encouraged her to practice reacting in helpful ways in emergency situations. She said she would try.

Hi. This is why we'll never own a small, furry rodent.
And, nice of Will to bring that up again. My boys remind me every time I make grilled cheese not to burn it. I mean, it's only happened like 3 times, and it was b/c I was distracted by them in some capacity.
