A dog crate with a padlock appropriately sized for a 16-month old escape artist. :) Yes, escaping continues to be Cole's new trick. Only I hate this one. This resulted in no napping today.
Convinced he would go to bed tonight without a problem due to sheer exhaustion, I put him down without a second thought. Sure enough, he climbed out. I had to break out the Super Nanny tactics. I stood out of site and waited to hear him swing that leg over the rail, then I would briskly walk in and pick him up with no words and lie him back down and walk back out of site. Without hesitation he would start again. Repeat this process about 20 times and he finally tired out and went to sleep. *Hopefully* he will start to re-learn who is boss.

Oh Kar - I know this must be frustrating but I'm laughing just picturing you waiting to hear his leg and brief amount of excitement he must have had each time he tried it again! Oh that Cole!
oh no...so frustrating! and he's so young to be doing this all the time! luckily, jack henry still hasn't tried. good thing, because he'd fall like a ton of bricks.
Too funny, Kar!! He just wants to be mobile! Perhaps you've discovered your strongest-willed child?!
I hope the super nanny method works for you!! If not...you know I love the crib tents!!
