Busy Weekend Success

Sunday, August 23, 2009
This weekend was crazy busy with my aunt from N.C. coming up for a visit! Friday night was TGIF festivities at our house; Saturday was my sister and brother-in-law's annual bean-bag game tournament party PLUS slumber party for us; Sunday was "Day at the Farm" and dinner at my parents' house!

We had a great time with great weather! The realization came to me, though, that we packed it in and not once did we have to leave early due to a crabby kid or cut out an event because they just had enough / didn't feel well, etc. Of course, I'm mostly referring to Cole, here. So much in the first year of his life was driven by his tolerance to whatever we were doing. Now - he tends to "tolerate" everything pretty well - like, wandering around a party in the dark in bare feet WAAAAY past his bedtime. He is 16 months now and loving life! Here are some pictures of all of us loving life at Farm Day: Farm Day is an annual event at an area farm owned by the Conservation Society that my parents volunteer for. This and other yearly events allow kids (and adults) to see equipment/animals and systems that farms used to use and use today.

Paige feeling powerful behind the wheel of this big one!

Will - complete with tractor noises (see his mouth? It totally sounded real)

Cole - trying to figure out the inner workings of this classic.
