I've never been the best shopper; it has never been a burning desire of mine to shop 'til I drop. But add kids to the mix and grab 'n go becomes my motto. Very little will send me sifting through racks to find the right size / color / style. If it isn't staring me in the face, I probably won't buy it. I'm pretty sure I'm missing out on some great deals or cute things, etc. It's not even like my children are bad in stores, it's just that I can't
really think and concentrate. Here are my symptoms:
- Overheating
- Burning of the eyes as one is trying to watch kids while the other is desperately trying to scan the racks
- Nausea as I think of the things I'm probably forgetting to look for and the fact that I will probably be back.
- These usually heighten at the change of season as we tend to need more in the way of clothing at that time

so true, so true.
Since you primarily shop at the same stores and your size hasn't changed - why don't you do some online orders - worse case - return it at the store......
Or you can be a nerd like Sarah and I and just don't shop :) (except for the kids)
Or - give them a mission - like a scavenger hunt - for Will - he'd love this (find a blue top, find something with stripes, find something shiny, etc)
I've never been a shopper, either, and I have most of the same "symptoms" you do. The only thing I really like shopping for is house stuff - especially for other people's houses!! Your friend, Nicole, is QUITE the online shopper, and seems to have great luck! I could take more than a few cues from her.
yes - online shopping rules if the alternative is taking children along. sometimes, i break out in hives when they're with me.
i especially buy from places i can return in-store, as jamie suggested!
I LOVE MY SUPPORT SYSTEM! :)
And they love you right back!!!
