Tiny Treasures

I could go into detail about how much I have realized one truly needs her right index finger. But instead, I'm going to share a little tidbit about Will.

You know how the vision of a stereotypical boy is one with his pockets filled with all sorts of "treasures?" (Coins, rocks, dead bugs, etc.) Well, Will is similar to that, only he tends to find small places to put these treasures. This gift box has been around for some time. He has adopted it as his tiny treasure box. Though the items in it have changed from time to time, the importance is always there. I tried to have him do a quick video explaining the significance of each item, but it got a little lengthy and he trailed off often. It started like this, "Yemme tell you about my really special stuff..." Here is a picture of the contents as it is right now:

CONTENTS:
Small plastic trains intended for domino game (5)

Plastic dolphin won in arcade on vacation (1)

Blue silly putty egg (1) not filled with putty, but rather rubber worms (4)

Green Care Bear found by Paige in a parking lot and given to Will (1)

Glow-in-the-dark ghost that disassembles (1)

There you have it! Will's special stuff!

Ahhhhh - so adorable!!! I love Will's stash of stuff. My boys all have metal lunch boxes that end up filled with "treasure", but nothing as cute as that!! Also, sorry to hear about your finger! I have the tiniest paper cut on the tip of my left middle finger and washing my hair has been annoying all week (as is typing!!). See you guys tomorrow!!

Love it! Luke used to do this, though the collection of items didn't stay the same for long. I would have LOVED to have heard Will tell about it!

Some things you just never grow out of. I've been carrying my little box of "treasures" around since I was 14. Really.
