What is it with boys and getting dressed? I confide in my sister (who has an almost 4-year-old) with this issue and share her feelings. It is as if they are just not team players when it comes to getting dressed. If I tap one foot to get a shoe or pant leg on it, Will lifts the other. If I pull an arm sleeve, he stretches his arm further. So, I decided to start working a bit on the independence of dressing. Today I asked him if he remembered the trick to getting his pants on. There was a long pause and he looked at the ceiling and scrunched his mouth to one side as if I had just asked him to solve a differential equation. BUT LOW AND BEHOLD he sat down and put one foot in and then the next! Success! The shirt is a little tricky, we'll wait before we tackle that one!
Today Paige and Will were rehearsing a rock band concert that I was going to be invited to view. Paige came out to do her hair and said she needed a gray hair clip because the band colors are gray, black, dark blue, hot pink and a pinch of green! You think that's a trip, you should have seen the show!
