When Cole takes his morning nap and I finish my chores, the kids and I like to do something together - either some involved game or a "prog-ject" as Will would say it. Today I had seen these cool baked treats that involve cookie-cut pie crust stuffed with chocolate chips (or other treats) in fall shapes and baked. Cookie cutting + brushing egg whites on = total fun for the two of them. We got all ready and the oven fails to light. This has been a problem lately and since we just had to buy a new fridge, this is less than good news. Usually I can get it to light after several tries - but not this time. Called Sears guy. Coming Monday.
So, we move onto a halloween craft purchased at Michaels that involves coloring wooden pieces with marker. Only before I had gotten all the necessary materials, Will began and colored on the kitchen table. (Dear product manufacturer: why use an almost permanent marker for a craft marketed towards kids?). So, after scrubbing and using other gentle cleansers for fear of ruining the table more, I googled "marker off wood." I got the perfect answer: Magic Eraser.
It truly is magic.
One swipe and it was GONE! We then continued with crayola markers. Now I'm off to google "marker off fingers" because we didn't solve that problem yet.

i love the magic erasers.
they are the best at getting crayon marks off the tub when my kids use their bathtub crayons. oh, and getting scuff marks off my hardwoods.
i'm glad you thought to use it so your table didn't get ruined!
they are truly magic. i can't believe the stuff they take off walls!
yeah, dumb about using a perm. marker in a kids craft project. the designer obviously didn't have kids of his own.
suzanne, love the idea to use eraser on bathtub crayon marks!
