I had a conversation with someone recently who suggested that last winter wasn't cold. I looked back on my archive and read a post where I questioned whether I had relocated to Antarctica. I beg to differ. And now I'm feeling the same way.
Of course, the point of this post isn't to moan about the bitter, painful, not enjoyable, freezing weather. Rather I would like to point out how disappointed in myself I am for NOT putting more time into teaching Will about the virtues of hurrying up. Most often he is one to mosey. When it is a wind chill below zero IS NOT THE TIME. I laugh now when I think about how today as my jeans were freezing in place I frantically tried to explain to him that when we hit the door it needs to be move, move, move to get buckled and in the car. And I went on to explain totally unnecessary details about even though he is in the car and warmer, mom still has to wait for him to be seated and then shift around to get seat buckles, etc. I'm pretty sure he wasn't listening.

Wouldn't it be kinda nice to live in Will's stree-free, slow-paced world for a day??
So I was watching a show with my kids yesterday where a girl and her dad were going on a "winter walk". First they checked the temperature and it was 40-some degrees. "Wow...that's cold," said the girl. Pu-LEASE child! You don't KNOW cold! Try 4 degrees!
I hate frozen jeans! those are the worst especially when you have to then sit down in them to drive!
