Role Reversal

Tuesday, November 3, 2009
Well, after some concern and debate, we decided to get H1N1 vaccinations today at the health department.  The line outside in the 45 degree weather wrapping around the parking lot was uninviting.  And judging from the almost-blew-a-gasket reaction to getting the seasonal flu shot that Paige had, I was very concerned about waiting a long time in the line with that anticipation.

I got 2 great surprises.  The line went AMAZINGLY fast (kudos to all of the workers) and Paige was unbelievably calm and collect about it.  Will, on the other hand had some reservations and was pouting or moaning the whole time.  Paige was sure to point out every child the walked out NOT crying to comfort Will (and I think herself a little bit).   Meanwhile, Cole was fixated on the snacks I had bought for sustenance during the wait.  We were out of there in 30 minutes and the kids had suckers!  This was a complete success in my book!

P.S.  Yes, my blog is messed up.  I tried making a couple changes only to have it look like this.  I'll work on it, but later!

45 degrees out = no fun waiting. eric was lucky and it was beautiful out on halloween when he had to wait so long for luke's shot.

Hey...Olivia & I were there yesterday too! Olivia would have loved to see her "Target Friend" as she refers to Paige :) The line went extremely fast too!
