Enough Already

So I can remember sitting outside in the cold with Will in the wee morning hours a little more than a week ago to help his croup-like cough.  Then, tonight found me putting ointment under his nose for the rawness, Vicks on Paige's chest for the stuffiness and the humidifier in Cole's room to keep the cough at bay.  This is a king of colds!

I pray that this is all of the bad bugs of winter rolled into one and we'll be pretty well-off for the rest of the winter.  But I'm not going to get my hopes up for that.  And I can't even complain.  The kids have been themselves pretty much and haven't gotten into any serious states such as ultra-high fevers, vomitting, etc.  I just like 'em totally healthy.  What can I say?

We were able to enjoy a fun event this weekend to celebrate my aunt's retirement.  We all went downtown to see the parade and lighting of the Christmas lights for the season.  We had free reign of her employer's suite at a hotel overlooking the entire event.  The kids were pumped.  We went down on the street for a bit and then witnessed the parade from 30 stories up, followed by fireworks launched from a barge directly below us.  Paige "officially freaked out," using her words, when she got so see Mitchel Musso (from Disney Channel) performing on a float and the boys got to sit in an ambulance and honk the horn while we were waiting for the parade.  Life was good.  We didn't stay for the night, thanks to the aformentioned colds, but still had a great time!  Congratulations to Aunt Lavonne and YAY for the start of the season!

The kids freaking out at the sights.

Sitting outside in the cold to help a cough?? Never heard of that. Would it be safe for Evelyn?

Hi there I hopped over from Nicole's blog "Here's the Diehl". We have had a cold in our house for a few weeks now too, just when I think the girls are getting better something else seems to pop up. I have a Paige too, only mine is 2.
Looks like you all had a great view of the parade, looks fun!
