Well, it has been a fast, somewhat busy week and I have found that I am thankful and not thankful for some things:
- I'm thankful that Cole is feeling better and we're not having to give him breathing treatments
- I'm not thankful that our health clinic ran out of flu shots for flu shot day
- I'm thankful that Will got to go to the pumpkin patch field trip
- I'm not thankful for the hairy common-sense deprived guy who explained to the preschoolers at the field trip that the animals we are looking at become the food we eat at McDonald's and the pig's skin makes the footballs we play with. Yeeeah. They are going to be scarred for life with that premature information.
- I'm thankful for the girl at the bank drive through who sent back 2 Dum Dum suckers for the boys which stopped Cole's endless chanting of "mom."
- I'm not thankful for Cole's endless chanting of "mom."
- I'm thankful for the storm that blew through and ended before I had to come out of Meijer.
- I'm not thankful for the less-than-sweet mom who treatened her kid's life while standing in the canned soup aisle of Meijer.
- I'm thankful for candy corns. They are one (non-chocolate) candy I crave and they're milk-free, so a fun seasonal treat for Cole!
- I'm not thankful for my craving for candy corns.

love this! yay for candy corn!!
yeah, while "mom" can initially be music to your ears, by the end of the day aren't you ready to change your name sometimes? unfortunately, around here, it's LUKE that's constantly saying "Mom?" and i'm like "AAAAHHHH! I'M RIGHT HERE! JUST TALK TO ME!"
sorry. venting.
Love this post - very funny!! FYI - the caramel apple candy corns have milk (but are sooo yummy). Candy corn and peanuts - my favorite fall trail mix!
Love ya!
That field trip guy--sheesh! You don't have to be a child development expert to know better than that!
Have done quite a number on candy corn/peanut mixture this week!
he really told the kids about where the animals go? really? not his brightest moment.
