Today was a great day. We didn't do anything too significant. We biked to a park, played out back, watched a movie we haven't in a long time, did puzzles and played games. Cole is still under the weather and there was nothing urgent on the to-do list, so the day was just easy going.
I have gotten a taste lately of what life with even slightly older kids will be like with appintments, lessons, playdates and parties self-scheduling your day. That's why days like this - where WE decide what we're doing - are one type of heaven to me. And I'd have to say that it is the kids' too. There was minimal arguing and lots of giggling. Heaven.
Now onto another type of heaven...chocolate covered grahams I may have just impulse-bought at the store. Mmmm.

Ahhh, the lazy, hazy days of summer! Aren't they wonderful? I'm SO looking forward to days like that when I retire...perhaps I'll spend some of them with you? Love you!
We realized that we had a whole weekend unplanned and it was so refreshing! totally heaven :) Hope Cole is feeling better!!
I love days like that, too! Sadly, we have had very few of them this summer!!!
