Four and More

This weekend has been BUSY and filled with fun! We had a new "job" of letting our neighbor's dogs out while they were away. The kids LOVED this responsibility and Paige was beside herself that this was the last day.

Then, we had a little party for Will's 4th birthday! This was great because it was the first birthday that he actually had anticipation leading up to it. It was a race car theme (surprise) and we had a race car pinata and then went to "drag strip days" - a special event in our downtown. It was fun (except for the revving of the hot rods which made your inner ear feel as if it was crumbling)! Something I learned: wrap clothing for Will in something OTHER than a clothing box because he will skip right over it otherwise. Sheesh.

I am excited for this little guy to be getting so big. He has so much personality to share and is truly comical, while still having his sweet, loving side. He continues to be the most vocal about his love for others. He has finally participated in a few classes that will then lead to preschool this fall - a new chapter. And I see his excitement in the possibilities of play with his little brother who is just now becoming more able-to-be-played-with. Happy birthday to my sweet William Quinn!

And I will now classify Cole has a "walker." What is my definition? If he chooses to walk more often than crawl - and this is true of him now. Here is an example: he was playing on the floor and got up to standing, walked 2 feet, crouched down to get a toy and walked back to his spot. Now, that's more than walking - that's just plain showing off!
