Tonight I was helping Paige get dressed after a bath and I was sitting on the toilet about to brush through her hair when Cole crawled up and stood at my knees. His body language made it pretty clear that he wanted me to walk him. (That is, him walking while holding my two fingers and me staggering behind him.) Because I was busy, I wasn't grabbing on. Then he was making a pinching motion at Paige's stomach and we couldn't tell what he was doing. Then Paige and I realized at the same time...
Yes. He was trying to grab Sleeping Beauty's finger. Apparently, he's so desperate to walk that even fictional characters will do. If only he had the confidence to try it himself, he'd see he doesn't need assistance...from me or any cartoon character!

He'll always need your finger, whether actually or metaphorically. That's one of the many beautiful things about your own children - they never stop needing you. :)
