Yes Michigan!

This weekend we traveled to Michigan for a graduation party and to see extended family we look forward to seeing at least once a year. (Shout out to the Kutsches and Hesses!) It was a GREAT visit! And it is an official record road trip since Cole being born. While the ride there Friday night (during rush hour around Chicago) was a little hairy and Cole was wondering why the heck he was still in his car seat, the rest went quite well! Here are some pictures!

Our 'big' kids hammin' it up

Cole's first time swimming - He was a fan!

We had the hotel pool to ourselves! (Which was good because we filled it up! - And had a blast!)

This was Will almost the whole way home. Sign of a good vacation!

Now, because I'm a mom, you know I was taking notes the whole time about what works and what doesn't when traveling with my kids. Here are a few highlighted lessons:

1. If you are going to a hotel, plan on burning your kids' socks afterwards.

2. You can't possibly pack enough snacks for a road trip - just in case someone has a hankerin' for something "salty, but not crunchy."

3. If you bring a pair water wings for the pool, like, bring both.

4. GPS = don't blame me we're pulling a U-turn

5. Because getting 3 kids down in the same room as you is a little tricky, take advantage of the free coffee in the morning! :)

Too funny, Nicole! Wouldn't that, like, make them swim in a circle?!

Looks like a fun time was had by all.
