This Monday was SUPPOSED to be a family day with Rich taking off work and us 5 going into the city and doing Navy Pier activities. Well, this happened, but Rich didn't know that 10 other members of family and friends were meeting us there for a birthday surprise! He claims he had no clue!
We had a nice lunch and presents and then ventured to the Children's museum. Cole was having a rough morning with his chest cold and we ended up having to give him a neb treatment (in McDonald's - where there were accessible plugs), and he was able to thoroughly enjoy himself as did all the other kids. This did cut the surprise day short because Rich and I were THEN going to go shopping on Michigan Ave. (while my parents did kid patrol back home) and then had reservations at Japanais, but with Cole's health being an issue we decided to postpone that. It was still a great day!
