Paige and Will were playing with her baby (see previous post) and Will joined in as the daddy this time. She was ordering him around a bit. (Rich alluded to the fact that children emulate what they see - ha ha!) I reminded her to let him have his ideas, but Will very confidently said, "No, mom, I'm the dad so I will go upstairs and get her purse for her." He's gonna be a great hubby someday!
Earlier, Will (and I) were drawing underwater scenes and he made this one:
He decided to add an octopus to the scene, but on a separate piece of paper. After half a roll of Scotch tape to connect the pics and careful consideration, he decided, "Actually, it's a Jell-O fish." I want to live in Will's head. I think it must be pretty fun.

we go through so much tape in our house, it's not even funny.

we're currently not going through scotch tape at a rapid pace, which is a nice change.
loving the "monthly nap" reference - that's about how often bennett takes one, too, despite needing one about three times a week.
My friend, Nancy, always thought her son (and middle child) lived in Tele-tubbie land. We often wondered what went on inside his head ("Is it all plastic flowers and fuzzy people? Bubble gum and puppies and balloons?") THAT's on the list of why it's great to be a boy. No early onset adolescence. Or late onset adolescence. Or evolving past adolescence....oh, sorry...mixing my metaphors!
Paige was so right. She and I DO have a lot of common. :)
