Today we did a couple errands that created a whole list of "whys" in my head.
1) Why do children's stores like "Children's Place" and "Carters" not have automatic doors? I mean, much of their target market CAN'T WALK. By the time you get the heavy door open, guide other children in and try to steer the stroller in while the door is hitting you in the back, you realize that you now have to shift around in the corridor to do the same thing with the SECOND non-automatic interior door. Annoying. This makes you frustrated before you've even made it in the door which is why #2 occurred under my breath.
2) Why doesn't the "Children's Place" get new clothing designers? Their spring dresses are gag me unless I plan on sending my daughter to Woodstock or something.
3) Why can my 3-year old run like the wind around the house but must be dragged at a snail's pace along the sidewalk of stores on a COLD and WINDY day?
I must not have been "under my breath" enough with #2 because tonight when we were talking about dress shopping at dinner Paige announced, "Mom said she hated all the clothes at one store." Wooops. But she tends to hear things wrong because today when Matt Lauer said that President Obama had made a surprise visit to Iraq, she came running to me and said that President Obama was in a rocket. That's how rumors get started.

Yeah, why is it that they can hear an inappropriate comment mumbled under the breath in a public venue, but "time to brush your teeth" from 5 feet away renders them hearing impaired?? Add that to the list of the "mysteries of motherhood"!!
I totally see your point - too funny. I wonder if they don't have automatic doors though b/c kids could wander OUT of the store too quickly??? Just a thought
Oh Will - clealy shopping doesn't motivate him - find any tractor shirts??
That Paige. Always starting rumors.
As always, I laughed out loud reading this post.
