So, when Monday rolled around with no school I wasn't stupid enough to think that rest would come. So instead we went to the Children's Museum for a good dose of stimulus overload. The kids were great and very well-behaved. Here are some great pics.
Maybe a doze for the 1/2 hour ride home? Nope. So bedtime was freakishly early tonight. But we've had some "pop-ups" and they will probably end up falling asleep at the exact same time they always do. Short of meds or superglue for eyelids, I'm not quite sure how else to ensure more sleep. You know in nursing homes how they have those little alarms that sound if a resident leaves his/her wheelchair? I'm totally thinking this could be helpful in children as well. I'm going to add this to my list of "things to invent."
Notice the new look? Let me know if you like the "before" or "after" look!

I love the new blog look! I have to figure out how to do a picture at the top of mine! Did you do the museum by yourself today? I'm waaay impressed if you did!! <-- something I would never attempt! :)
the blog looks great! did you also know that you can go to thecutestblogontheblock.com and download free templates? it only works on blogspot.
anywho, cute pictures!
and why don't kids ever get the memo that they're supposed to nap when we think it will work out best?
Love the new look.
I'm of the opinion that cabin fever probably has a lot to do with it. A good dose of outdoors a few times a day might help. Nothing like fresh air and sunshine (?) to wipe a kid out! Relay races with the dogs, who can do the whole swingset circuit in the shortest time (safely, of course), start a "let's try to 'beat our time' with a walk around the block" contest, etc. Who knows...you might end up with a jogging partner (or two!) out of it! Good luck! :)
your blog looks great!
Since I am a relgious blog reader i noticed this change right away! I love it! & youre still staying true to the orange and blue at the bottom! LOVE IT!
oh those kids, i'd go for the superglue if all else fails.
Paige and Will under the bubble - that looks like lots of fun!! And yes, nap time is such a valuable commodity. I am SO thankful that Averhy still takes a nap (and I don't care that means some days she's still awake at 9:30pm singing in her bed... I need the quiet time during the day!!).
You know I'm not great with change but I love this green look! I would have loved to go to Naperville with you!! Can't wait to see ya Friday. Great action shots btw :)
I love the new look! The kids look like they had a great time at the museum. One thing I noticed right away was Cole's not so little belly!!! Cracked me up!
