Since Paige did not have school on Friday, I had planned a day trip to Aunt Jamie and Uncle Steve's (almost 2 hours north) for fun, since we rarely make it there. My parents and other sister and cousins Riley and Renee joined us. We had a great time. The kids love going there because the house is big, new to them, and fun to explore. Here is a picture of them dancing. I know they are just a blur - but that is an accurate depiction of the entire visit. Thanks, Jamie and Steve!
Valentine's day night we had our traditional family dinner. We eat in the formal dining room. Paige is in charge of the details, which include linen napkins, napkin rings, special centerpieces, and overall ambiance. I cook a certain type of salmon that is a family favorite, such that everyone is a clean plater. Then we have a small gift exchange. It is one of my favorite nights, I have to say!

I didn't know about your valentine dinner - that's awesome - reminds me of our childhood candle-light dinners - remember the fondue?
What a great V-Day! Go you for getting your kids to eat fish - ESPECIALLY salmon!
