So today at lunch Will burped loudly while his mouth was wide open about to take a bite. Of course, this was hysterical to the kids and I reminded them of manners. About 2 minutes later, Will is over there still chuckling to himself and I asked what he was laughing at to which he responds, "my burp." I said, "okay, that's enough talk about that." And here is how the rest of the conversation went.
Will: But my burps are cute.
Me: Oh, you think so?
Will: Yeah. You think my burps are cute, right?
Me: Um, not since you were, like, 6 months old!
So, I'm thinking he's dealing with the harsh reality that he has reached the age that his bodily functions are, indeed, not considered cute anymore. Now wait until he has to deal with the fact that nobody wants to seem him flailing around as he streaks the upstairs hall naked before bathtime. That will be a tough one.

His burps ARE cute. Just ask him! And as for the pre-bathtime "flailing"? Um...yeah...not so much. "Those" don't get any cuter as they get older, so it would probably serve him well to come to terms with that as soon as possible!

Yeah, we're way past cute, but with so many boys around here, bodily function noises are definitely funny and/or attention getting.
JH was, ahem, a bit gassy at the dinner table last night, and even HE was smiling every time!
And don't even get me started on the streaking...
