Off-Duty Mom

Because I was up all night Sunday with flu-like symptoms, Rich stayed home from work because taking care of the kids in the state I was in was going to be near impossible. Unless I'm feeding Cole, I almost never just sit down on the couch for any length of time - especially in the morning when there are dogs to feed, a dishwasher to unload and breakfast to make. So, I think the fact that I was on the couch under a blanket wigged Paige out a bit. She was beside herself trying to do things to make me feel better. I got a back massage, a soda cracker, some juice, and my arm wrapped in a bandage (didn't really have an effect on my nausea). And then there were the 1/2 dozen love letters and pictures I got from her as well. It was adorable and I was happy to see how nurturing she could be when the time was right. I'm feeling a bit better tonight so hopefully tomorrow is a better day!
