We're having a feeling-better-but-need-to-recuperate day for Paige today. So, we broke up the morning by going to the library. Besides Halloween books, the kids each picked a DVD. Paige picked a Shirley Temple movie. She has seen commercials for a Shirley Temple movie collection and is intrigued by the chatty little performer...hmmm.... Then Will picked out "Pee-Wee's Playhouse." Well, because the "color" version of the Shirley Temple movie wasn't working (it was, afterall, a library edition), we watched a bit of the black and white and while entertaining, the lack of color lost them. Pee-Wee's Playhouse was a complete hit! The kids couldn't believe I watched that when I was little and hadn't told them about it. So here's a poll - what shows did YOU watch that you feel kids today would still appreciate?

What a great day to curl up with a movie. Glad Pee Wee was a hit, but I think Shirley needs another chance....that actually IS a show I watched when I was little, and yes, it was in black and white!!
Glad to hear that Paige is feeling better and no one else has caught the bug. How about Lassie, since Paige is a animal or should I say dog lover. Yes it was also in black and white.
Hi Kar - We are loving the blog!! We check it daily. Have you shown them the Pokey Little Puppy yet??
well, Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo are huge in our house, and both Matt and I watched those as kids.
Do you remember Shirt Tales?
They've also seen a few episodes of Full House and liked it...
So fun that your family is commenting on here :)
