Report Card

Well, the first bumpy days of school are over and we're in for our first full week.  I give the start a solid A- with some very positive comments from kids and only a few hang ups with bus routes and anxiety.  Here are some things I've learned:

•  School wears kids out.  Major.
• Will loves class & his teacher, but is nervous about the bus.
• Paige has a new "friend" who, in Paige's words, "thinks she's being really nice, but like, it's overrated."  (translation: she in-your-face nice and slightly annoying)
• Feeding one less kid at lunchtime is kinda nice
• A bus driver with a personality is a rare gem
• The amount of school "work" for me each evening is equal to me being a junior in high school, I figure.
• 1 kid napping + 2 kids at school = dreamy
• Seeing two of my kids hop off the school bus at 4pm makes me feel old

No, Cole did not attend school, even though he looks more than ready both of these days.
