I think one of the characteristics of parenthood that is so unique is this paradox: As a mom I think about how nice it would be to have an uninterrupted shower and getting-ready session. Then, as in today, when I have it, I find the quiet deafening! What could they possibly be doing? And I want to be a part of it! Or tonight, when we put them to bed as they so MAJORLY needed, I put on my pajamas and think about morning and how I can't wait to see them again in the morning. It's truly unique and unparalleled. And it's what I love about being a mom!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all moms and all those celebrating their moms!
And what kind of mom would I be without sharing this picture of Will at school Thursday SUPER pumped about being a part of their "summer birthday" celebration!

happy mother's day!
I am feeling ya on the deafening silence! I find that I'm lonely even doing the grocery shopping by myself because there is no one to talk to...and I wonder what fun I'm missing...and yet it takes like a 1/4th of the time.
